Designed by famed naval architect Philip Rhodes and built in 1965 by Cheoy Lee, Tirante is a classic 41-foot yawl that carries a rich maritime legacy. Captain Kyle
A USCG Licensed Master Mariner and co-founder of True North Sailing Co., Captain Kyle bought his first boat at age 14 and has been on the water ever since. A retired law enforcement detective with a background in the culinary arts, he pairs decades of seamanship and safety with warm hospitality. Whether guiding Tirante through Chadwick Bay or sharing the nuances of sail trim, Kyle ensures every voyage is safe, smooth, and memorable.
First Mate Amanda
Co-founder and creative director of True North Sailing Co., Amanda brings a keen eye for detail and a passion for hospitality to every voyage. Drawing on her background as an art director and her experience in event catering, she curates the elevated touches that make time aboard Tirante so special. From seamless planning to welcoming guests on board, Amanda ensures every charter is beautifully executed and effortless from start to finish.
